GLS是德国唯一一所在市区占地16000平米并拥有两间酒店的语言学校。校园设施在欧洲首屈一指：60间明亮的教室，一间供应现代德国美食的餐厅，50间公寓和72间高档标准的酒店客房。 GLS可同时容纳最多600名学生 。

成立于1983年

GLS是一所独立的学校：Barbara Jaeschke在1983年创建该校并指导工作至今。

GLS - "德国最佳德语语言学校"

GLS曾五次被授予“德国星级学校”的荣誉称号。该奖项每年由旅游研究杂志在伦敦颁发，在世界范围内逐个授予给各国最好的语言学校。

每年有超过5000名学生

来自60多个国家的5000多名学生每年都会在柏林参加GLS德语课程。 在夏季，同时有多达600名学生，夏季以外有200-400名学生。

针对青少年和成年人的GLS德语课程

GLS 的全名是 德语语言学校  ( German Language School ). GLS 经营 针对成人语言学习的  GLS 柏林校园 以及夏日在柏林与慕尼黑一带 给青少年的德语课程. 像易趣 (Ebay)， 戴姆勒，汉莎航空 等 公司 或 德国之声电视台 都透过 GLS 培训他们的员工.

GLS is the Berlin school with the IH International House World Organization. 

IALC is an international association of quality language schools  and regularly inspects GLS. All GLS German courses are accredited by IALC.

Accredited are German courses for adults

GLS is recognized by the Swedish National Board of Student Aid, i.e. Swedish students can apply for grants when studying at the GLS language school.

GLS is a test-center for TestDaF, the language certificate for university studies in Germany. 

GLS offers EU-funded German courses for professionals working in educational institutions.

GLS is a Teacher Training Center

GLS is an IH-certified Teacher Training Center and prepares for the IH Certificate for Teaching German as a Foreign Language (IHC German).
